The beginning footage from a tactical support operation run to the bombed out palace deep into the red zone on the outskirts of the city. These were special missions with just 4 private security operators per vehicle with almost full autonomy around the city but it was loud and clear no one was going to help us if we got in trouble.

This mission ended up off camera going banana cakes for we dodged getting hit by a suicide bomber due to blind dumb luck.

Just another day in Kabul back then....but as weird as it is to say, I wish it was still like that.

For all the craziness, the city of Kabul really was a special place. Hopefully from this deployment footage, native afghans that left their country forever after the fall of Kabul and the subsequent brutal takeover by the Taliban will be able to remember it like it used to be.
