Jussie Smollett Out of Jail, Pending Appeal, Flexing His Establishment Connections

After spending a hard six days in Cook County Jail, Jussie Smollett is out on his own recognizance; pending his appeal. While it is a right that everyone should be afforded, it is thanks to his deep connections that the most famous hoaxer in the modern day is out on the streets once again. If one of the conditions for bail is a low risk to reoffend, why is the habitual liar free to do whatever he pleases while many January 6th trespassers are still detained?
