Chocolate toxicity 101 – keep your pet safe from chocolate this during holiday seasons

Though many dog owners are seemingly aware of its potentially life-threatening danger, chocolate toxicity remains one of the most common poisonings seen at veterinary hospitals and called into pet poison control hotlines.

Chocolates with higher cocoa content are more dangerous for your pet. If your pet ever eats chocolate, call us, an Animal ER, or a pet poison control hotline immediately. However, if your pet is already anxious, panting, or having seizures, bring them immediately for veterinary care.
