Quaise Energy, a MIT spinoff, intends on tapping into the heat of earth's interior to create clean energy. Geothermal energy is .4% of renewable energy, but Quaise is looking to make geothermal a major part of the power grid. Earth's inner core is 10,800 degrees Fahrenheit, which is as hot as the sun's surface. The upper boundary of earth's mantle, which is below the crust layer we walk on, is 392 degrees F. That is what Quaise Energy intends on delivering to the global population.
