Letter To A Persevering Wife

Hello, Brothers and Sisters and Heartdwellers Family,

I have been standing in the gap for quite a few marriages that are going through some very difficult trials. This soul is probably going through the most challenging test that I have ever seen. She is not quite open to the intercession of the saints, but she is such an inspiration and reminds me very much of St. Rita. She has been married and this is her tenth-year anniversary.

She and her husband were not really in the Lord when they met but she got set on fire for God about two years within their marriage. They have one child, and she lost a baby stillborn after 8 months of pregnancy. The Husband can be very volatile with his words and physically abusive. He has had many affairs of infidelity and has even threatened to kill her more than once. Does this sound like a Lifetime movie story and a woman who is crazy enough to stay?

Well, that is how crazy in love she is with Jesus. She has wanted to leave time and time again, but the Lord has always asked her to stay, to pray for him, to endure, and trust what he is doing because what she is dealing with is witchcraft. The husband has so many curses placed on him by other women and it’s like a demon takes over him when he acts in fits of rage then he comes back to his normal self. It’s pretty sad. This story to the world sounds crazy and even in the church, many would tell her to leave. But the Lord is raising great saints in this generation. If we would cling to him, trust him, seek his will, and carry our cross without looking back he will use our lives to write the most beautiful story of His love and mercy.

I share this letter because I am pretty sure there is a woman or man listening, going through some of the most difficult struggles in your marriage and you may feel like giving up. May her story already inspire you that if she can hang on with God’s grace in her suffering within this marriage you can too. She finally reached out to me and said she was too tired and couldn’t see herself persevering anymore. She needed to see breakthrough. She had fasted, prayed for so many years to see a change and nothing. So we did a 9-day Novena to the Holy Family in hopes that Heaven would intervene. I would like to say her husband was transformed at the end of the Novena but that is not the consolation the Lord gave us—but a beautiful word and promise of encouragement for her which I believe will be an encouragement to so many to not give up. Please be praying for her as you pray for your marriages as well.

Jesus began,

“My beloved daughter, how I am so pleased with all that you have endured, all that you have persevered through; all of heaven is delighted in your faith. I am making you into a great saint in this world—a testimony for all to see of My faithfulness and My Goodness. Do not allow the battles you have endured to weaken you, to wear you down, or cause you to doubt My promises. The battle has been so fierce because of what I have purposed the two of you to do together. You both will snatch many souls out of the grips of hell by your union.

“What you are dealing with is generational witchcraft and curses upon your beloved husband. I can’t move in deliverance until he consents—until he comes to a place of true repentance and brokenness—and that time is coming.

“Do not let up or give up the fight, My resilient one. Every word spoken to cut you down was a thorn that priced My head during the Passion. Every blow you have taken from his hands was a blow I took for you when the soldiers beat me all night, Thursday evening, before entering into My trial. Every action of infidelity you have faced in this marriage was a lash taken on my back for the impurity of mankind.

“Your loss of your beloved daughter, who is with Me, is the sorrow I carry in My heart for every child that I lose to this world and to eternal fires At least you will see her again I will never see the souls who made the decision to not put their faith in me, [He sighed, His head was hung low, and he was so sad].

“My beloved daughter, do you see now how much you resemble Me? You were destined for this before the foundation of the world. You were created to be one with Me. One in My suffering so that you may share in My Glory in heaven. I have pulled you away from a superficial lifestyle that you were headed to. A life of luxury, emptiness, and honor among men—and more stripping is coming as I will teach you and your husband to live on the bare necessities and be grateful for my providence.

“In time he will come to me. This is the year of restoration for you, Beloved. I have seen your tears, heard the cry of your heart, and the anguish you have endured. Mark My words, Beloved one, you will end this year renewed in my strength in awe of my goodness and surrounded with songs of joy! BE NOT DISMAYED!

“I want you to open your heart to My mother and all of Heaven as well. I have entrusted many saints to you. They are a part of every detail of your life. They suffer with you—and their prayers for you and your family are continuous. I have called you to this little way of holiness. This is a life of self-denial and self-renunciation. I want you to deny your self-love, deny self-seeking, deny self-esteem, and crucify your flesh. Your husband is a great tool of sanctification as I am permitting every trial to chisel you until you are completely dead to yourself, and I live.

“Come to me when it gets too hard, but no longer complain of your sufferings or trials—they are gifts from Me for your salvation and your husband’s as well. Do not permit this tempest you are in to touch you. Keep on going. Please, keep on going, finish the race to win, we are all cheering you on. And don’t allow the enemy to lie to you any longer—to discount every fast, every prayer, every sacrifice, every word you have spoken into your marriage.

“Words are like seeds, it takes time to grow. Give grace time to work, Beloved. You see when you pray it releases graces and the soul you are praying for must correspond. In your situation, you are in a battle, and you are dealing with hardened cursed ground, the heart of your husband. My processes are slow don’t be in a hurry. Don’t leave him, Beloved, you are all he has left for his salvation. I have made it that way. I am counting on you, daughter. Although the devils have tried everything to cause you to flee, nothing can oppose my will or my strong hand. I will protect you and your son and your husband too. Don’t stop praying, declaring, and speaking life to this seed.

“I want you to get a plant, Beloved, call it a prayer plant. I want you to write every promise I have given you on a piece of paper and place it in the soil of the plant and then plant the seed. I want you speaking life over that seed every day. As you watch it grow you will be strengthened that your prayers are growing, the graces are being released and your marriage will bloom. Sometimes it takes you to see it to believe it. Have faith and trust this is my idea, I will strengthen you.

“Now get to work with all that I have purposed on your heart to do. No longer be drawn down into discouragement or worry—there is much ahead for you to do. Let the work and the work of this marriage go unhindered. Cast down every argument and logic that inserts itself against what I have already promised you. Don’t entertain stray thoughts rather bring them into captivity and subjection to My will. I am with you in this, Beloved daughter. You will be in awe as My favor is lavished on you this year.”

That was the end of Jesus’ message.

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves.
