When looping, make sure your fabric is tight but not tightly stretched or you might deform it which will ruin your stitching. To loop up, loosen the screw at the top of the loop. Put your fabric on the bottom ring, and then place the top loop down over the top, pulling the fabric nicely unless it is tight.
