Anthropology professor LARA HOMSEY-MESSER joins us to discuss her lengthy tenure at Alabama's Dust Cave. The start of the occupation of this cave goes back to nearly the Ice Age. It is contemporary with Gobekli Tepe. What do the artifacts reveal about the numerous cultural occupations of this site? What do they tell us about the peoples' day to day lives? Do we see patters in other caves across the eastern U.S.? Since caves are becoming more of a focus in archaeology, what are they saying about our past? We will also dig into other of Lara's projects like the Monongahela Culture's Squirrel Hill site and its palisaded village. Be prepared to have your IQs raised
