Baldknobbers: The Rise of the Vigilantes (PART ONE)

The Baldknobbers, a vigilante group formed in Southwest Missouri in 1885, began with good intentions but ultimately ended up terrorizing their community and were responsible for the deaths of many people. This video explores the murders that led to their formation, the grave of their leader Nat Kinney, and the lynching of Frank and Tubal Taylor. Two videos will follow this one, The Reign of the Baldknobbers and the Fall of the Baldknobbers. There’s quite a bit of violence in this series so be advised!
