Walnut Syrup part 2
Most people know you can tap Maple trees, collect the sap and boil it down to syrup.... but most people have no idea how many different kinds of trees can be tapped to do this! Our favorite is Black Walnut...which is VERY fortunate because we have over 150 of them that are big enough to tap!
This is the introductory video for our 3 part series on tapping Black Walnut Trees for syrup. In this video, I explain the supplies necessary, give a brief overview of the process and share how to properly sanitize the equipment you will be using.
Be sure to check back for Part 2 where we take you with us as we tap the trees, collect the sap and do the initial boil and Part 3 where we take the concentrated sap and do the final boil to produce a buttery, nutty, amazing sweet syrup!
