God's Formula for True Happiness: Situated By The Waters

This sermon was preached by Pastor Sam Adams on 8/23/15 at Independence Baptist Church in Belleview, Florida. Bible text: Psalm 1; Joshua 1:8. The Declaration of Independence opens with the premise that the "pursuit of happiness" is a fundamental right granted by our Creator. The Bible supports that proposition - and makes it clear that, just as godly parents love their children and want them to be happy, so too God wants His children to be happy. In fact that issue is so important to God that He opened His hymnbook, the Psalms, with a beautiful song that presents God's formula for true happiness.

God says in Psalm 1, to be happy we must be:
1. Separated from Sin,
2. Saturated with God's Word, and
3. Situated by the Waters
