Maajid Nawaz on Joe Rogan: vaccine passports and CBDC CCP social credit score

Credit Instagram's @kat_kanadka with this extract from a conversation between Joe Rogan and Maajid Nawaz, probably "episode #1780 - Maajid Nawaz" of the podcast named "The Joe Rogan Experience", see [0-2].

In it, Nawaz wants Joe's attention to focus on an article from the Daily Telegraph entitled "Bank of England tells ministers to intervene on digital currency 'programming'". The article is dated 21 June 2021; the podcast was recorded 19 February 2022, a shocking eight months later.

As correctly related by Nawaz, the article speaks of the phenomenal level of control possible with a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). The Bank of England warned us all in June 2021. A banker named Tom Mutton was evidently uncomfortable with the notion and, with the evident approval of his colleagues on the Board of Directors of the British central bank, held a press conference about the matter.

Earlier in June 2021, another director named Sir Jonathan Stephen Cunliffe [4] said "You could think of giving your children pocket money, but programming the money so that it couldn't be used for sweets. There is a whole range of things that money could do, programmable money, which we cannot do with the current technology."

It is instructive--some might say fearsome--that Cunliffe talks about cash money, which has been employed since time began, as "the current technology".

Nawaz, who ordinarily resides in Britain, uses an example to transfix Rogan's audience. The old style interview, where the two interlocutors breathe the same air in the same studio, was conducted in New York. Nawaz asks the audience to imagine that he is a dissident and that some government official wants the interview to be stifled, ostensibly because it is inconvenient to government. Under a programmable CBDC, government can make the interview never happen. All the official need do is to prevent the travel transaction from occurring. The Western world is almost dead. It is being smothered by digital technology.

So in Sir John's example, the state becomes everyone's parent. The precedent is called "in loco parentis". What is proposed by this digital technology is permanently to incapacitate everyone in society, or in other words, to infantilize everyone.

This is the future of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and their "social credit score".

Nawaz correctly identifies the Chancellor of the Exchequer (currently, Rishi Sunak) as the Minister in charge of the Treasury. But such a radical change ordinarily would require the consent of Boris Johnson's Cabinet, if not the entire Parliament of Great Britain and Northern Ireland plus the reigning monarch.

It is literally beyond my ken that Queen Elizabeth, who was once a tender soul and educated by Winston Churchill, has been corrupted to the point where she sees it fit to affix her seal to the most nefarious Act that ever saw the light of day.

It says here that Boris Johnson is killing the men of Magna Carta.
