FOOTAGE shows Ukrainians dig trenches around the capital city of Kyiv, as they prepare for urban warfare.

Anadolu Agency Video News (AAVN) videoed a group of men digging a deep trench to prepare for the worst-case scenario, taking advantage of the humanitarian ceasefire on Friday (Mar. 11).

One of the volunteers stated that he wanted peace, but if the war continued, he would stay in Kyiv and fight to protect his land, child, mother, and friends. He added that they do not want any Russians in their city.

Russian forces have moved about three miles closer to Kyiv in the past 24 hours, according to a senior US defence official.
