Crab's spoiled style at the bottom of the sea

True crabs have five pairs of legs; the first pair of legs is modified into a pair of claws and is not used for locomotion. In almost all types of crabs, except for a few (eg, Raninoids), the abdomen is folded under the cephalothorax. The mouth of the crab is covered by a flattened maxilliped, and the front of the carapace does not form a long rostrum. Crab gills are made up of flattened ("phyllobranchiate") plates, similar to shrimp gills, but with a different structure.
