THE ABBEY OF THE LEMUR ON MANUFACTURED CONTROVERSY PT. 2: Won't You be my Nabob?

(2003) Part two of our discourse on the fracas over Bob Emenegger's failed obscenity complaint against TAOTL. What we had discovered at this point was that Greg Harton had written a smear piece on us for the NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TIMES, and we spend a good chunk of this show reading and dissecting said smear piece. We came to understand, at this point, if you got City Hall mad, they had friends in the press who would do this. We would later witness many other instances, involving not only TAOTL but other parties, that would bear this out.
Fury reads a brilliant piece she wrote in response to the hatchet job----er, article....she had gone on at length, elaborating on every point, but we had to make her do a more concise do-over. I think we hurt her feelings, which sucks...the truth is, first time out we ran out of tape. She, herself, was astonishing, as per usual, and I wished we could have gotten the whole thing.
The b&w wrap at the end was shot sometime later in my apartment. By that point Richard Drake had warned me that Mike Masterson from the ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT GAZETTE, would also turn up to do a hack job on us. In fairly short order, he did.
