Stanley Jack Plane Tune-Up

Just a brief overview of the process of tuning up a refurbished plane. I flatten the sole with sandpaper and sharpen the blade on a diamond stone. I use permanent marker to see my progress on flattening the sole by seeing how evenly removed my marks are. I generally use 100 grit sandpaper to start then move up to 120. When sharpening and honing my edges, I like using Windex!
