Choosing to Forget - Trauma or Pride

How often do we really forget something vs choosing not to remember? Do we choose not to remember out of pride or embarrassment? Perhaps there was trauma involved?

In this video I give some personal examples ranging from not remembering to exercise, forgetting an important event when I was 12 years old and blacking out while riding a bucking bronco horse.
