Folk horror: Stories that often incorporate folks tales and legends to create disturbing situations and fear. A lot of them have supernatural themes, but some are more about cultural clashes between outsiders to often rural communities. The UK, Indonesian, Malaysian, and Thai horror markets have a LOT of folk horror, some of which we've already touched on.
