#307 The IRS Backs Down
31
Earlier it was announced that the IRS would enhance security on its web site by requiring would be users to verify their identity with a third-party vendor, ID.me. The process would involve submitting a face scan along with selfie photos of the user with copies of recent utility or insurance bills.
In this edition of FAIRtax Power Radio, we detail why the IRS simply can’t be trusted to keep this intimately personal data safe from hackers and leakers. Fortunately, the IRS has backed away from its partnership with ID.me, but the FAIRtax Guys show that there are still plenty of reasons why the IRS should be put out of business.
