Dallas Cowboys rumors exist saying that the Cowboys are “likely” to franchise tag tight end Dalton Schultz. However, as Cowboys Report host Tom Downey explains, that’s not what the original report from ESPN actually says! The ESPN report says that the Cowboys are “more likely” to use the tag on Schultz over DE Randy Gregory. And that makes perfect sense. There is no guarantee that the Cowboys will tag Schultz before the NFL Franchise Tag Deadline but it is a possibility. If the Cowboys do so, it would cost about $11 million for one year.
