Explosion rocks Kyiv outskirts ahead of Russia's attack in Ukrainian capital

Footage from the city of Irpin shows the moment two Russian aircrafts flew over residential buildings moments before a big explosion, Wednesday.

Shelling by Russian forces destroyed multiple residential buildings and cars in the northern Ukrainian city of Irpin.

On Wednesday local residents recorded videos and took photos of the devastation on their phones as heavily damaged cars and household items were scattered throughout the rubble.

Homeowners could be seen climbing down a ladder after surveying their demolished properties, as Russia's bombardment continues into its seventh day.

Family photographs and children's toys littered the rubble, as local residents said the shelling left them with nothing.
