ABBA became a global phenomenon in 1974 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest for "Waterloo," which became a smashing hit. Over the next eight years, the Swedish pop group consisting of Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and Benny Andersson conquered the world and sold hundreds of millions of records.

ABBA, which is an acronym for the group members' first names, disbanded in 1982 when the two married couples that comprised the band broke up, but in early September 2021 they announced the group will reunite to release new music later this year.
