The Russian military occupied a base abandoned by the Ukrainian security forces with military equipment, artillery and fuel depots on the outskirts of Berdyansk, eyewitnesses told RIA Novosti.

On the site, among other things, there were nine towed howitzers 2-65 "Msta B", full-time tractors based on KRAZ for them, a battery division control complex based on the BTR 60-PB with a rangefinder and night observation devices, a SNAR-1 artillery reconnaissance complex based on MT-LB, technical assistance vehicle, armoured vehicles and military vehicles.
