I Made a Mistake. Will this Eternal September Ever end? I Sold the Internet as "ours". It never was.

I have wasted my life and career. I left politics because I saw this cool thing called the internet where people might be free. I was used and lied to and perpetuated a lie.

The internet was stolen from us, gentrified, and nothing shows this more than a reading of the Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace, written in 1996. We are living in an 'eternal September'. But I want to remind you, if you haven't been on the internet as long as I have... I want you to know that we were sold something different. It was stolen from us. I'm pissed about it. Don't let them lie to you and pretend otherwise.
