China will be taking ‘lessons’ from Putin’s invasion

Former Director of Intelligence for the US Pacific fleet Captain James E. Fanell says China will be watching Putin’s invasion of Ukraine carefully to “incorporate” aspects into “their invasion of Taiwan’.
“It’s providing PLA (People’s Liberation Army) planners … valuable lessons learned on what not to do when you conduct a military invasion,” Capt Fannell said.
“It’s very, very dangerous that we are not recognising that when we act weak, that dictators like Putin, and like Xi, and Kim Jong Un in Korea and the Mullahs in Iran will advance and try to take more territory.
“And China’s goal is to take control of Taiwan like they’ve taken control of Hong Kong over the last couple of years.
“And this should scare people in the Asia-Pacific region.”
