Putin condemns sanctions as Russia breaks temporary ceasefire in Ukraine

President Vladimir Putin has described sanctions against Russia as akin to a declaration of war – as his forces are accused of ignoring a temporary ceasefire to evacuate residents stranded in southern Ukraine cities.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine is now into day 10 - and there was a brief respite from fighting late yesterday as humanitarian corridors were opened in the hope thousands could escape the city of Mariupol but it was short lived.
Evacuation routes were set up in the encircled city of Mariupol and Volnovakha but Russian forces were soon accused of breaking the temporary ceasefire.
