Preserving Women’s Sports Special Guest House of Reps Kera Birkeland

Utah House of Representatives Kera Birkeland joins the Nacho Show to talk about her bill HB 11 that gives a chance for biological women to stay competitive in Sports.

It does not allow any and all transgender athletes to play. Only those who don’t pose a safety risk and those who won’t have a competitive advantage.

The athlete doesn’t have to go before the commission. Parents or a guardian can go before the commission without the student athlete.
There is no hormone therapy requirement.
The eligibility decision will be medically driven with accurate and fair science and biology factored in.
It states that reasonable accommodations are made to be sure that privacy is achieved for our athletes.
