Amazing sea dogs on the lookout for some world-class surf

Dog surfing is a sport in which dogs are taught to surf, skimboard, bodyboard, windsurf, or bodysurf on surfboards, skimboards, or bodyboards.

Competitions of this nature have existed in California and Hawaii since the 1920s. It grew even more popular in the 1930s when a silent picture called "On The Waves in Waikiki" was released, depicting a guy and his terrier surfing together in Hawaii on a wooden surfboard. On the surfboard, the terrier completed the hang ten surfing manoeuvre.
