California mag ban getting SCOTUS scrutiny

The National Rifle Association and the California Rifle & Pistol Association are urging the Supreme Court to accept a challenge to California's ban on "high capacity" ammunition magazines, which are commonly-owned but illegal to possess in the state, even if they were legally purchased before the ban took effect.
