Indonesian Shrimp Mix Salad known as Gado Gado Udang and a No Shell Boiled Egg Hack

In this video "Indonesian Shrimp Mix Salad known as Gado Gado Udang and a No Shell Boiled Egg Hack" I make up a wonderful Indonesian salad dressing mix that's based on the well known satay sauce recipe. Make it spicy or make it mild, but it's always delicious.

It was rather a hot day with the weather approaching 90° when I made this Shrimp Gado Gado Salad (Indonesian translation for shrimp is udang), but this can either be eaten in hot or cold weather. This delicious dish is a very popular streetfood in Indonesia and is often enjoyed as a breakfast or brunch but is also perfect for supper.

Also I show a great boiled egg hack which saves time as well as the sore fingers that result from having too many eggs to shell or peel.

Indonesian Shrimp Mix Salad known as Gado Gado Udang and a No Shell Boiled Egg Hack

Peanut Dressing

1/2 cup Peanut Butter,
4 Oz Thai Red Curry
Paste, 14 Oz can Coconut
Cream, 1 tbs Vegetable
Oil, 2 to 3 Cloves Garlic,
1/2 tsp S.E. Asian Shrimp
Paste, 1 tbs Lime Juice,
2 tbs Water, 1 to 2 tbs
Sugar, 1 tsp Umami
or 1 Chicken Boulion Cube.
Makes 28 Ounces of sauce.

Salad Ingredients.
1 Lb cooked Shrimp Tails, 1 Lb
Green Beans, 14 Oz Satay Peanut
Sauce, 12 Eggs, a little Vegetable
Oil, a little Water, 8 Oz Cherry
Tomatoes, 14 Oz can Corn Kernels,
4 small Scallions plus 1 extra per
serve as a garnish, 1 small Red
Chili Pepper ( hot or mild), 1 tbs
Roasted Peanuts per serve, 1 to 2
Lettuces, 1 green Pear or Apple,
Extra Small Red Spicy Chili
Peppers to your preference as a
garnish, also you can omit 1
Lettuce and add 1/2 Lb Bean
Sprouts & 1/2 Lb steamed
Broccoli or carrots instead.
Serves 6 at a cost of $25
