While the war is obviously going to have devastating impacts on both Ukraine and Russia, it could be just as bad for Egypt. As much as 86% of the country's wheat imports come from the countries at war. Egypt has gone through a huge population explosion in the last 100 years and the population still continues to grow at a pretty high rate. Egypt doesn't have enough arable land to grow enough wheat to supply the population with food such as bread and pasta. Most of Egypt is desert and is heavily dependent on the River Nile
