Lose You To Love Me by Selena Gomez was such a great song in 2020. I loved that she filmed two big singles with just her iphone; it shows that you don't need a ton of stuff to make a music video or create content. :) I enjoyed this cover a lot. For me, it was a bit of a love letter to past people, places, and things: The people that have caused hurt in my life that pressed upon my spirit and unfortunately stayed with me for years and affected so much of my life in ways I wasn't even aware of until I started seeking out help and healing, the places or events within my mind that I never want to go back to, and things -- like those limiting beliefs about myself or my worth, my creative abilities and my extremely mean spirited and pesky eating disorder (yay recovery!) Had to lose all of those things to gain insight and love for myself. And you can, too. Unlike the song, I am all about forgiveness, and have forgiven those components of the past. I work through them everyday to gain strength and even more resilience. They will alway be there, but now I get to drive the bus. I hope you enjoy this cover song.
