Manhattan | Sara Bareilles | Cover Song | Mandy Barry

I've always been a big fan of Sara Bareilles. She is truly one of my favorite songwriters and storytellers. I know most people know her now as not only the star but also the musical genius that helped birth the Broadway sensation that is Waitress the musical. The first time I discovered Sara Bareilles was in the middle of a Duane Reade in New York. I heard the song Gravity. I instantly called my best friend back home who was a music fanatic and who loved sad girl songs just as much as I did. We would go and see her open for bands like Maroon 5 and she was always amazing. This song Manhattan was one of those songs that helped get me through a pretty tough time in my young adult life lol and so I always love to sing it. I decided to do an OG Youtube kind of cover which I still have lots of appreciation for a good old cover from the early to mid 2000's. So, it's just me, my laptop speaker, and being in the feels. :) I hope you enjoy!
