Tteokguk is a soup(guk in Korean) with sliced rice cake (tteok in Koean). Tteok Manduguk is a variation simply adding Mandu(Korean dumpling).
The soup can be made with different ingredients. Beef is one of the most common ingredients, but chicken, korean anchovies, oyster or vegetables can be used to make the soup.
Ttoekguk is a dish we have at Lunar New Year as breakfast. Koreans say through eating Tteokguk at New Year, you get a year older since in Korean language, we call getting a year old 'eating age'
