Fly Fishing: Early Season Fly Fishing at 8,700ft

Chalk Lake was surprisingly awesome today! I don't frequent this lake in the summer since there's a Natl Forest Campground next door and tends to be crowded but it hits great early and late season. The ice is just now starting to melt at 8,700ft and the fish are starting to get pretty lively. Landed my first trout 2mins 30secs in to my first session of the season. Landed a total of 12 trout in under an hour, great to be on the water!
