Living in a Tent in Colorado All Winter: Three Days of Snow, Joe Rogan Follows My Channel?!

Hey Everyone! It's been an incredible week at camp, we had two different snowstorms hit and last night the windchill got down to -15F. Getting to know my new camera (Canon G7X Mark iii) so I'll talk about that in the next video. Also, one of my friends pointed out that Rogan follows my channel which is a bit surreal for me. When times were rough out here, his podcast carried me through some dark times when I thought about giving up on my dream of living mobile/off-grid and going back to the Corp World. I'd often hear from Joe and his guests about how you just have to keep going and plug away at your life goals regardless of outside distractions or setbacks. Seemed like whenever I had a tough stretch back here, I'd tune in to the latest episode and hear that same message "Just keep going". His show is a big reason why I stuck it out for so long so I give him some credit to my recent success. This is why you often hear me playing his podcast episodes in the background, I love the variety of content coupled with the encouragement he's provided for so many. I've come a LONG ways since my benzodiazepine addiction (2007-2010) as an unhealthy individual both physically and spiritually stuck in the Corp Grind as an "executive" with a bleak view of the future. Today I'm genuinely happy and healthy, except for that recent bout with Giardia, living a low impact lifestyle on my terms in the American West with an extremely positive outlook for the future. I love being a nomad, truck camping, 4x4 trails, and hot tent winter camping. I never thought this lifestyle change would impact me as much as it has, the perspectives I've gained are invaluable coupled with the walls which have been torn down. I've met the most amazing people during my travels. The road restored my faith in humanity and helped me create a life that I don't need to take a vacation from, I couldn't be more thankful for this experience!

Stoked (and a bit shocked) that the King of Cold Weather Camping, Joe Robinet, and the King of Content, Joe Rogan, both follow this channel - https://www.instagram.com/p/CJcniKXnAPd/.

I forgot to add a review of the Icon Lifesaver Jerry Can Water Purifier to this video so I'll be sure to include that in the next upload - sorry about that!

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OFF-GRID AND SELF SUFFICIENT HOMESTEADING

Definition of "Off-Grid": Off-the-grid or off-grid is a characteristic of buildings and a lifestyle designed in an independent manner without reliance on one or more public utilities. The term "off-the-grid" traditionally refers to not being connected to the electrical grid, but can also include other utilities like water, gas, and sewer systems, and can scale from residential homes to small communities.

Self-sufficient means needing no outside help in satisfying one's basic needs, especially about the production of food, and homesteading means living a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. So by those definitions, the key to homesteading is learning to be self-sufficient.
