Ukraine agrees to meet with Russians at Belarus border
TODAY 28 FEBRUARY UKRAINE PRESIDENT MEET RUSSIA PRESIDENT AT BELARUS

A Ukrainian delegation has agreed to meet with Russians at Belarus border, according to Ukrainian President Zelensky’s office.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy says the Ukrainian and Russian delegations will meet without preconditions at Pripyat in Belarus. The Ukrainian president expressed that he was not confident that any progress would come from the meeting, but that he would do everything he could for the Ukrainian people.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met for the first time at a summit in Paris in 10 dec 2019. The leaders are trying to find a way to end five years of fighting in Ukraine. Elizabeth Palmer reports.
