A few weeks after making the debut of the new generation of the Fusion/Mondeo official, Ford expands the range of versions of the model with the launch of the sporty variant ST Line. As in other vehicles of the brand, the configuration is distinguished by the presence of exclusive elements in the external design, in addition to novelties in details of the internal finish. Mechanically, however, nothing changes.

On the outside, in addition to the more striking color palette, the Mondeo ST Line incorporates bumpers with a more aggressive shape, black details to contrast with the bodywork, tinted glass contour (and not chrome as in the other versions), aerodynamic, trunk lid spoiler, 19-inch alloy wheels with the diamond finish and red-painted brake calipers.

Inside, there are new upholstery and the ST-Line inscription engraved on the front panel. The technological footprint continues to be carried out by the 12.3-inch digital screen on the instrument panel, flanked by another huge 27-inch screen, which houses the functions of the multimedia system (with the right to a facial and gesture recognition system). There is still a sunroof, but in this case in two separate sections and not of the panoramic type.

In terms of dimensions, they are 4,935 mm long, 1,875 mm wide and 1,500 mm high, in addition to a 2,945 mm wheelbase. Under the hood, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine delivers 240 hp and is always associated with 8-speed automatic transmission. Despite the sporting proposal, there are no changes in the setup. Traction is front only.

As in the other versions, the new Fusion ST Line is produced in China and exclusive to the local market. Production is handled by partner Changan, alongside EVOS.
