The Deed beyond All Worlds (Revelation 5)

Neither above nor below, among the living nor the dead, is one found of worth. None have lived a worthwhile life, and none may touch the seals of the scroll nor even look upon the blessed text. Its honor is beyond all earthly affairs, and even beyond those mature angels of heaven. In a calamity of calamities, not one soul is worthy, and John gives the only reasonable response: he weeps. Yet, God still wants to redeem. Undoubtedly, some will be condemned, but God still wants to forgive and encourage His creatures. Therefore, and despite our total lack of merit, Jesus came forth and offered Himself as the one worthy to redeem all creation. (Church of the Nazarene)
