Pearl Hill Fire 2020

Despite starting in Okanogan County, and initially being called the "Cold Springs Fire",then jumping the Columbia River upstream from Bridgeport, they ended up calling this the Pearl Hill Fire here.

I've personally never seen such a huge, devastating fire destroy so much over such a large area.

Our hearts go out to the young couple who lives were forever changed with the death of their 1 year old child and their unborn child.

Also to those who lost their homes, life's belongings, their outbuildings and so much more.

This video is from one of our security cameras.

Looking east from our house, to the left of the driveway is that section of Highway SR17 between Bridgeport and Leahy Junction at mile marker 129..... you can see headlights from cars as the fire approaches, eventually closing down SR17.

Also to note is the city of Mansfield on the right side of video. The fire department flashing lights are going off for the entirety of the video.

What a horrible sad day in history, that will forever be etched into the minds of us who witnessed the power and fury first-hand.
