No matter how impressive the men we look up to may seem, if we FEEL them, we can tell their lives remain somehow EMPTY. However great, their achievements only have meaning in the context of society, and society simply cannot connect us to Life. But social success is the only thing we have been conditioned to value. It is all we know.

Women on the other hand are by the very nature of their bodies connected to something else, an underlying current that TAKES them every month, when they menstruate, on a Journey beneath the surface of social life and into the Darkness, the feminine realm of Nature.

Truth is, we men are fundamentally terrified of anything below the surface of life because our intellects alone simply do not apply in the “Underworld”. But how can we ever become men and have actual lives of fullness if more than 99% of our being is hidden and unconscious? And how will we ever MEET HER if we cannot See in the Darkness?
