Important Information
New Russian disinformation strategy.

Kreml has engaged in a new kind of
disinformation strategy
that is targeting the liberal parts
of western social media.
Their strategy has not changed
for the right-wing bubbles of social media.
Now Russia abuses images of
liberal Russians,
that protest against the war.

They spread the notion that most Russians
do not want this war.
While in reality most Russians either aren't
even aware of the war or in support off it.
Only the minority of Liberal Russians,
the young urban population,
that is over represented in western media,
is fighting against this war.

Why is the Kremlin spreading this?
Does it not make them look weak?

No it does not make them look weak,
since the Putins supporters
barely use Western social media.

The reason they are doing this is to make
Western Liberals more likely to engage
in chats with Russian fake accounts.
The discussion will start relatively
harmless.

"War is bad for everyone, we want peace."
But soon they will start spreading
more and more Russian Propaganda.

-Calling the War a Military Operation
instead of an Invasion.
-Claiming the War is only waged against
the Ukrainian government
not against the people.
-Claiming the Ukrainian goverment
is not legit.
-Claiming the Conflict is only between the
Governments of Ukraine and Russia
-Claiming that Ukraine is lead by a Nazi government
-Claiming that Russia is not the aggressor

If you see a self proclaimed Russian,
saying that he does not want this war.
Check if he spreads extreme
misinformation.
If he does call him out on it.
