Honeywells L5100 at ISC West 2012

The Honeywell L5100 made its debut at ISC West 2012. The Lynx 5100 adds a variety of new technologies. First off, it adds 4g radio to the platform, WIFI, and a host of other exciting features.

WIFI allows this revolutionary new product to be used for alarm communication. You can send your alarm messaging over WIFI. It enables a variety of things like tablets to be used as an user interface for the alarm system. You can control the security system itself from the comfort of any room.

ZWAVE technology has also been added. It will help to automate the home and save energy. You can lower the thermostat from a distance, and turn it back on when you get home.

You could even turn the lights on your deck or unlock your home's door from anywhere in the world. All of this can be controlled by using Honeywell's Total Connect.

The last piece that's been added is APL which stands for Advanced Protection Logic and is meant to protect against a ""Smash and Grab"".
