Honeywell 5811: Installed on a Sliding Glass Door

The 5811 is one of Honeywell's most popular door and window sensors. Wafer-thin, the sensors look great wherever they are put, and they are barely noticeable. Even so, despite being difficult to see, they are as robust as any of Honeywell's incredible technology, broadcasting to the Honeywell L5100 wireless security panel from a distance of 150 feet. While their bulkier cousin, the 5816 has a 200 foot range, for most homes the 150 foot rating is plenty. In this video, Sterling installs the small sensors on a sliding glass door.
