Musical Instruments made of ICE!?

Tim Linhart created his first ice instrument 20 years ago
He carved it out of ice on top of a mountain
He attached some strings to it and was amazing how amazing it sounded
Tim put on his skis and skied down to the village and everyone thought he was nuts
Tim had a dream to create an entire band out of ice instruments
Tim has created multiple instruments including:

Violin
Drums
Gituar
Rolandophone
Xylophone

All of the ice instruments are outfitted with colored lights makes makes them look really cool, and really there is no other instrument that can achieve this look so might as well emphasize it with the lights.
Building an ice instrument has it’s challenges but it’s even more challenging to maintain an ice instruments. When an audience is present, when the musician is playing the instrument it starts to break apart and melt
As it gets warmer from the audience breathing the stringed instruments get softer which makes them start to fall out of tune with a deeper sound. On the flip side the rolandophone and xylophone become higher pitched as they melt
All of these difficulties led to the creation of the 2 domed concert hall made of snow. There are 2 groups of audience seating, above each group in a hole above the audience which lets all the heat they are producing out the top.
If you notice many of the instruments are held by strings which is to reduce the transfer of heat to them and for stability.
Tim thinks the ice concert hall is a great way for people to be more involved in their environment and community especially since there are places in the world where it’s cold for so many months of the year.
