Pope tells politicians to examine their consciences before God over Ukraine actions

VATICAN CITY – The possibility of conflict in Ukraine caused Pope Francis "much sadness in my heart" on Wednesday (Feb 23), and he criticized actions that "destabilize harmony among nations and disgrace international law."
