In this video, Joe talks about the Honeywell SiXSIREN and the features it offers. The SiXSIREN is a wireless siren that is designed exclusively for use with the Honeywell Lyric Controller. It communicates with the security panel at an encrypted 2.4 GHz frequency, and it features an LED status light.

Many users want to add a secondary siren to their alarm system. This can be useful for larger properties so that the sound is spread across a greater area. For many security systems, adding a secondary siren can be a somewhat difficult process. But if a user has a Honeywell Lyric Security Controller, they are in luck! This is because adding a SiXSIREN to the Lyric is super easy. Since the SiXSIREN is a wireless device, it does not require any special power relay or complicated wireless setup. It simply programs with the system function as a second siren. This makes the SiXSIREN one of the simplest and most convenient external sirens available on the market today.

As a siren, the Honeywell SiXSIREN can produce sounds of up to 85 dB. This is equally as loud as the internal siren built into the Lyric Controller. So while the SiXSIREN won't actually make the alarm any louder, it will spread the alarm sound across a larger area. In addition to producing alarm sounds, the SiXSIREN will also produce chime sounds that occur on the system. This can also be useful for receiving system notifications in a separate area of the building. And since the SiXSIREN only requires four AA batteries, it is incredibly easy to power the device. This also means that the siren will continue to function whenever the power is out.

Another feature of the SiXSIREN is the LED status light. This provides visual indications of any alarms that may occur on the system. It is also helpful during the enrollment process. And the siren is no more obtrusive than a standard smoke detector, as it only measures 3.78 inches in diameter and is 1.14 inches thick.
