Sunday Dinner Pot Roast – The Hillbilly Kitchen. Learn how to make a perfect tender pot roast every time even with the least expensive cut of roast and learn how to make a smooth brown gravy right in the pot.

Making this iconic Sunday Dinner isn’t difficult but it does take some time and a little love. You can customize all of the ingredients to perfectly suit your tastes. It is the ultimate one pot meal when you add carrots and potatoes to the pot or you can serve your roast as the main course of an elegant dinner.

This recipe will work with any beef roast. You can use any carrots and potatoes, but the baby carrots and new potatoes taste better, look good and cut down on preparation time and effort. I usually prepare 8 ounces of beef per person, and 6 ounces of carrots and 6 ounces of potatoes per person (per-cooked weight).

Put God First.

Ingredients:

Roast
Carrots
Potatoes
Water as needed
1 tablespoon Corn Starch per cup of liquid

Optional Seasonings:

Onion
Peppers
Garlic
Worcestershire Sauce
Mushrooms
Celery
Salt & Pepper
