In this video, Jorge shows users how they can add a DSC PG9929 Key Fob to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus Alarm System. The IQ Panel 2 Plus has a built-in PowerG daughtercard for accepting the 915 MHz signals sent out by PowerG Keys like the PG9929. The PG9929 can then be used for general system operation.

The PG9929 is a slimline key fob with a sleek and stylish design. It is one of the more luxurious feeling key fobs available, and users will appreciate its classy finish. The device has four buttons in a single line, with each one serving a general intended purpose. The displayed function buttons are for Arming Away, Arming Stay, Disarming and Panic. The fob also has an attached key ring so that you can conveniently bring it with you and disarm your system as soon as you return home.

As a PowerG Sensor, the PG9929 follows a somewhat unique enrollment process. It's not as simple as just putting the system into its wireless enrollment mode and just activating the key fob to learn it in. While that is the general process, you need to get the PG9929 to send a special enrollment signal. To do this, press and hold the (*) button on the key. The LED light will flash red, but you should continue holding down the button. The LED light will then disappear and reappear a few moments later in a yellow color. You should release the button when the yellow light appears. The panel should recognize the transmission and then allow you to continue enrollment.

The next step is to configure the key fob settings. This includes setting the Sensor Group, which determines how the system responds when the sensor is activated. The most common Sensor Group option for the PG9929 is 1-Mobile Intrusion. This will have all the inputs perform their default commands. The Panic button in this case will serve as a police panic. Other settings include Sensor Name, Chime Type and Voice Prompts.
