In this video, Jorge talks about the recording limits for IP cameras used with Resideo Total Connect 2.0. These recording limits vary based on the type of camera that is used. The newer HD Total Connect 2.0 Cameras have recording limits that are less strict than the older standard definition models.

Many Total Connect 2.0 users have IP security cameras programmed with their accounts. For Alarm Grid customers, this requires a Platinum Level Plan. The live feed for these cameras can be viewed from either the Total Connect 2.0 website or mobile app. You just need to login to your Total Connect 2.0 account. By using the mobile app on your smartphone, you can view your cameras at any time from virtually anywhere in the world.

Total Connect 2.0 recording limits do not affect live camera feeds. The live feeds for your cameras will always be visible from Total Connect 2.0, as long as your cameras and the TC2 service are working properly. Instead, the recording limits deal with clips that are stored on the AlarmNet360 Servers for Total Connect 2.0. Once the clip limit is reached, old clips will be deleted whenever new clips are saved.

Resideo IP Cameras do not allow for a 24-hour recording schedule. These cameras will only record short video clips upon detecting movement or sound or when a clip is manually requested. The HD cameras have one of two clip limits. These clip limits are 1,500 clips or 30 days, whichever comes first, or 350 clips or 7 days, whichever comes first. Which clip limit structure you receive depends on your monitoring company. Alarm Grid customers will always receive the option of 1,500 clips or 30 days by default. But other monitoring companies may use the 350 clips or 7 days structure. If you exceed 1,500 stored clips, the oldest clips will be deleted to make room for new ones. Likewise, any clip older than 30 das will be deleted. Remember to download and save any stored clips before they are deleted. Once a clip is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You can have up to eight (8) HD cameras on your TC2 account.

For SD cameras, the clip limit is always 7 day or 100MB of storage, whichever comes first. Any clip older than 7 days will be automatically deleted. If you reach 100MB of legacy video clips, then the oldest clips will be automatically deleted as necessary to make room for the new clips. As a reference, the average 10 second clip for an SD Total Connect 2.0 Camera is between 300KB and 400KB in size. Keep in mind though that some clips may be up to 2MB in size. If every clip is 2MB, then you will be able to store up to 50 clips on Total Connect 2.0. Make sure to download and save any store clips that you want to keep before they are permanently deleted. Users can have a maximum of six (6) SD cameras on their TC2 accounts. These six SD cameras do not affect your number of HD cameras.
