Is it fair to dismiss an employee, when another employee was issued with a warning, for dishonesty?

Where two employees have engaged in the same or similar misconduct, they should be subjected to the same disciplinary action. This is, what is commonly known, as the defence of “consistency” in labour dispute matters, or the “parity principle” in the application of discipline at the workplace. The Labour Appeal Court considered this issue in the 2015 judgement of ABSA Limited v Naidu and Others
